Best Chemical Peels in Manchester By Star Clinic

By using a controlled product the top layers of the skin can be removed, improving the appearance of skin that is dull, tired and lacking in good quality as well as being affected by age spots, sun damage, acne scarring and wrinkles.

Mr. Marando will use a pre-treatment consultation to assess your individual condition, enabling him to tailor a personal treatment plan that is best suited to your skin type.

The solution used in a chemical peel is an enriching product that not only removes unhealthy skin cells and stimulates regrowth of healthy ones, producing a fresh glow to the face and / or neck, but adds vital nourishment to the new skin.

The type of chemical peel that Mr. Marando uses at Star Clinic is dependent on your individual skin type and problem and can vary in strength to accommodate the depth of skin tissues it needs to reach. These are:

  • Superficial – this peel uses Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) or Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)at 10 – 20%. The solution is applied to the face and left on for a few minutes, removing the top layer of the skin (known as the epidermis). The skin may feel tight for a couple of hours afterwards and repeated treatments can ensure long term results.
  • Medium peels – uses Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) at 35%. After a few minutes of the solution being applied to the face, the middle and top layers of skin will be removed. It will take a few hours for any sensitivity to subside and the face may be red for a few days, with several weeks before the skin returns to normal. Treatment may need repeating in 6 – 12 months.

Mr. Marando is a specialist in this field of cosmetic treatments, and every step is taken to ensure you receive the treatment that is best suited to you, your condition and the outcomes you expect. It is important to Mr. Marando that you are fully informed of the treatment you are receiving and the effects it can have on your skin, ensuring you have made the right decision for you.

Being affected by wrinkles, acne scars, dull skin, age spots or sun damage can cause some people a dissatisfaction with their appearance, feeling their face can appear tired and aged, which can lead to developing a low self-esteem.

The results from having a chemical peel can depend on the type of peel you have had. You may see an almost instant difference to your complexion or you may find 1 – 2 days will see the outcome fully develop. It is possible that the peel can be adapted to ensure the solution used is the best formula for your skin, ensuring the treatment produces results that are totally bespoke to you.

Chemical peels are an excellent treatment to revitalise the skin, and many people use them as part of a regular regime, in order to maintain good skin health.

Mr. Marando prides himself on patient satisfaction and your happiness is important to him. He will ensure the results you receive fulfil your expectations and he is always available to discuss any further concerns or answer any questions you may have, after the treatment.

The outcome of a chemical peel can help restore any lost confidence, or simply add a boost, by uncovering your hidden radiance within.

Treatment FAQ

Most people are suitable for a chemical peel of some sort. Your skin type and condition will be assessed by Mr. Marando and he will be able to tailor the right kind of peel for you. You will need to have realistic expectations in mind and may not be suitable if you have a medical skin condition such as eczema or psoriasis. Mr. Marando may suggest an alternative treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Mr. Marando is a specialist in this field and always takes the safety of his patients very seriously, and the solutions used meet the required standards of safety.

The treatment may incur some slight itching, or a tingling sensation, whilst the solution is being applied and for a time while developing. Mr. Marando will ensure you are not in any discomfort during the treatment, and you should not feel any excessive sensitivity after the treatment.

The type of peel that has been recommended for you, may determine the kind of effects you can experience. The face may see some slight redness, post treatment, and maybe a little puffiness. This will subside within a few days, but should not affect your mobility. It is normal for the skin to shed the dead skin cells, producing some slight flaking for a few days.

The treatment may not incur any downtime as your mobility will not be affected. It may be your own preference if you want to take a little time out until the redness, or flaking has subsided.
